Weekly Updates

Hello Blog Followers!      Sorry to leave you hanging. I know that I’m way behind on getting my weekly updates up, as promised. Doing chores and watching the kids in The Netherlands for the past few weeks has kept me busy, and I want to give you the best content possible! I’ve also been unable to post because I don’t have my computer with me and Blogger doesn’t work very well on my iPad. When I get home I will put up all of the photos and in depth updates. For now I’m going to give you the condensed versions of the past 5 weeks. Stay tuned for more! Family Road Trip: Henderson, Tucson and Provo

  Photo borrowed from my dad :)  Although I didn’t plan this trip, it was still an adventure, so it’s getting a little mini blog post! As you can imagine, a lot of the trip was spent on the road listening to music, watching Avatar: The Last Airbender, playing games and just enjoying the scenery. You may ask: Zoe, why were you on the road and going to these three random cities? Well I’ll tell you!    A few months ago, my mom had come across an announcement made by Amanda Palmer, half of the duo The Dresden Dolls, Singer-Songwriter, feminist, activist, bad ass. She and her husband, the author Neil Gaiman ( The Graveyard Book, Norse Mythology, and American Gods , to name a few of his books) decided that they were going to do another event together that is called “An Evening with Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer”. Silver Falls State Park with Thad

     October adventure! After reading an article in AAA’s Via magazine, I decided that I wanted to go on a camping trip to Silver Falls State Park in Oregon and invited my boyfriend, Thad, to go with me! The article and pictures suggested going in late October, which meant we were surrounded by beautiful fall colors, however, camping in late October means it's pretty chilly and very rainy. But we stayed warm and dry for the majority of the trip! Mostly thanks to my new little tent, the Marmot Limelight 3 person tent. Very spacious, easy to set up and take down, and kept all of the rain outside with very minimal condensation buildup in the corners for the five days that we were camping.      This was my first ever time going on a road trip without my parents, and also my first camping trip without my family.
